Unbelievable Taco Ring

1 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
½ c. water
1 c. or to your liking, fresh pico de gallo
1 c. shredded Mexican Blend cheese
2 (8-oz.) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
Shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sour cream, salsa, sliced jalapenos, chopped avocados, etc. for garnish

  1. Heat oven 375.
  2. In a 10” nonstick skillet, cook beef until cooked through. Drain off excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning mix, pico and ½ c. water to the cooked beef.
  4. Simmer 5-8 minutes or until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and let set for 5 minutes.
  5. Add cheese to the meat mixture and stir to blend.
  6. Unroll both cans of dough. Separate into 16 triangles.
  7. On an ungreased large cookie sheet, arrange triangles in a ring so short sides of triangles form a circle in the center.
  8. The dough will overlap. The dough ring should resemble a sun shape. Press down the edges of dough as you go around.
  9. Spoon beef mixture on the half of each triangle closest to the center of the ring.
  10. Bring each dough triangle up over filling, tucking dough under the bottom layer of dough to secure it.
  11. Repeat around the ring until the entire filling is enclosed. Some filling may show a bit.
  12. Bake 20-25 minutes or until dough is golden brown and thoroughly baked.
  13. Cool 5-8 minutes before adding desired topping and cutting into serving slices.
  14. Serve with your favorite garnishes.
    *To change things up you can change the ground meat to ground chicken, turkey, pork or a blend. Add baby spinach, black beans, any favorite veggies. Anything will work!
