Jumping Spicy Jalapeno Margaritas

JUMPING SPICY JALAPENO MARGARITA
1 medium jalapeno, cut lengthwise, seeds removed
1 ¾ c. silver tequila
3 oz. jalapeno tequila
2 oz. triple sec or orange liqueur
2 oz. fresh lime juice
½ oz. agave or simple syrup (optional)
Lime slices or sliced jalapenos, for garnish
- Place the jalapeno halves and tequila in pint-sized glass jar. Cover and let sit at room temp for 24 hours. Then, remove the jalapeno and any seeds that may have escaped.
- Combine the jalapeno tequila, triple sec, lime juice and agave in cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake for 30 seconds to chill.
- Strain into each margarita glass or on the rocks.
- Garnish with slices of lime or jalapeno.
