Icy Mint Julep

6 fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish
1 t. sugar
Shaved ice
2 ½ oz. bourbon whiskey
Lemon slice, for garnish
Orange slice, for garnish
Maraschino cherry, for garnish

  1. Place mint leaves, sugar and splash of water in silver julep cup or 12 oz. Tom Collins glass.
  2. Muddle mint, sugar and water together with tip of handle of wooden spoon.
  3. Fill glass with shaved ice, add bourbon and stir until combined.
  4. Garnish with lemon or orange slice, a cherry and few sprigs of mint.
