Powerhouse Tuna Poke

POWERHOUSE TUNA POKE
1 T. sesame oil
3 T. soy sauce
1 lb. sushi-grade yellowfin tuna, cut into /2” cubes
2 c. cubed mango, optional
1 c. fresh or thawed frozen wakame seaweed
2 T. fresh lime juice
1 T. shaved shallot
1 T. very thinly sliced seeded red Fresno chile
1 t. sesame seeds, toasted
2 ripe avocados, peeled and cubed
Salt/black pepper

  1. Combine oil, soy sauce and tuna in bowl. Season with a little salt and pepper, if desired.
  2. Combine mango, seaweed, lime juice, shallot, chile, seeds and avocados in another bowl. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
  3. Place about ¾ c. of mango mixture in each of 4 shallow bowls.
  4. Top each with about ½ c. of tuna mixture.
