CREAMIER CORN CASSEROLE
½ c. butter
¼ c. flour
¼ c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
1 c. whole milk
1 (15.25-oz.) can whole kernel sweet corn, drained
1 (14.75-oz.) can creamed-style sweet corn
Salt/black pepper to taste
- Preheat oven 350.
- In saucepan, heat butter, swirling pan until just melted.
- Let butter cool for 2-3 minutes.
- Whisk in flour until well incorporated.
- Whisk in sugar, eggs and milk.
- Stir in the corn into butter mixture.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake uncovered until center is set and browned and caramelized on top, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Let stand 5 minutes, then serve warm.
