Baked Kale Chips with Parmesan
Recipe By:
  • 1-2 bunches of fresh Kale (try to find Kale that the leaves are pretty firm and not floppy)
  • PAM spray
  • Sea salt
  • Fresh ground black pepper
  • Optional: olive oil
  • ½ c. fresh shredded parmesan cheese
  1. Wash kale and remove leaves from the stem and break into bite size pieces. You can throw stems away or use them when making stock. Let leaves drain and become completely dry.
  2. Spray a baking sheet with PAM or you can lightly spread olive oil on sheet.
  3. Preheat oven 350.
  4. Place the kale on sheets, do not overcrowd, spray the top of kale with the Olive oil PAM and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes. You need to use some tongs and move the around on the sheet during the cooking time. This helps them to crisp up evenly. They will shrink a lot.
  6. In the last 5 minutes, sprinkle the cheese and return to oven and the edges will crisp up. Watch carefully, they can burn easily. All ovens vary.
