Ingredients
  • 1 lb. fresh good quality sausage, casing removed or buy bulk type
  • 2 ¼ c. Bisquick mix
  • 1 (8-oz.) pkg. shredded extra-sharp Cheddar cheese
  • ½ c. chilled mashed roasted yams
  • ⅛ t. ground cinnamon
  • ¼ t. salt
  • ¼ t. black pepper
  • 6 T. jam, jelly or preserves-your favorite like fig, plum, etc.
  • 2 T. Dijon mustard
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven 350.
  2. Lightly grease baking sheet.
  3. Stir together sausage, baking mix, cheese, yam, cinnamon, salt and pepper in bowl.
  4. Roll into 48 (1 ½”) balls, and place about 1” apart on baking sheet.
  5. Bake until cooked through and a deep golden brown, about 20 minutes.
  6. Stir together jam and mustard in bowl. Mix well.
  7. Serve the dipping sauce with the nibbles.
Notes
*****If you choose a jelly, etc. that is too thick, place it in microwave on HIGH for 10 second intervals until it softens up enough to mix with mustard.
