Unbelievable Lasagna Dip with Pasta Chips
UNBELIEVABLE LASAGNA DIP WITH PASTA CHIPS
1 ½ c. cooked sweet Italian sausage
¾ c. good quality marinara sauce or home-made
1 c. small-curd cottage cheese
½ c. whole-milk ricotta cheese
½ c. grated Parmesan cheese
2 t. chopped fresh oregano
2 t. chopped fresh basil
Black pepper
½ t. crushed red pepper
3 c. shredded mozzarella, divided
Kosher salt
Chopped fresh parsley
8 oz. uncooked lasagna noodles
Vegetable oil
- Preheat oven 350.
- Stir together sausage, marinara, cottage cheese, ricotta, Parmesan, oregano, basil, black pepper, crushed red pepper, 2 ¼ c. mozzarella and salt in a bowl.
- Spoon mixture into 2 c. baking dish.
- Sprinkle remaining ¾ c. mozzarella over top and bake in oven until golden and bubbly, 20-25 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
- While dip is baking, cook noodles according to pkg. directions. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.
- Cut noodles into triangles.
- Pour oil to dept of 3” into Dutch oven. Heat over high to reach 360.
- Fry noodles in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, 2-3 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt. Serve pasta chips with dip.
