Super Savory Grilled Oysters
SUPER SAVORY GRILLED OYSTERS
1 c. butter, softened
¼ c. finely chopped fresh parsley
1-2 T. finely grated fresh horseradish (depending on how spicy you like it)
1 T. minced garlic
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
Zest of 1 lemon
Kosher salt/black pepper
1 t. paprika
1-2 t. Tabasco
Freshly grated parmesan cheese, optional.
2 dozen fresh oysters on half shell
- Preheat grill to HIGH (450-500 degrees).
- Stir together butter, parsley, horseradish, garlic, Worcestershire, zest, paprika, Tabasco and season with salt/black pepper to taste. Mix well.
- Place about 1 T. of butter mixture in each oyster.
- Arrange oysters in single layer on oiled grates, keeping oysters as level as possible.
- Grill, uncovered, until butter mixture is completely melted and just starts to bubble, about 5-7 minutes.
- Right at end of grilling, sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese on top, if desired.
- Carefully remove oysters from grill and serve.
