Good Morning Foodies! Well, I am bummed about my “WHO DAT” TEAM! I really could do without the cardiac approach. I did enjoy watching my TIGERS! Those games I can watch—hard for me to watch when they play a SEC opponent! Sorry that TULANE AND ULL didn’t have a “W” in their columns. Oh well, on to next week’s slate of games. Meanwhile, I hope some of you FOODIES were able to scoop up tickets for the “ROYAL SOIREE” that is being held tonight at the EVANGELINE DOWNS EVENT CENTER in OPELOUSAS, LA. This event is a stroke of genius in that it can bring together people from all walks of life and support a great cause. The funds raised are for scholarships for the youths of our area. EDUCATION IS THE MOST POWERFUL TOOL FOR SUCCESS. Everyone wins in this event. Students get a chance to get financial assistance and the public gets to see and sample the talents of area chefs! Judging these events is quite challenging—but I gladly take on the task. I am looking forward to this event tonight. I was so impressed last year and expect no less this year! Hope to see you there!
