FULL BELLY AND RECOVERING!

Good Morning Foodies! Wow! What a great turnout for the ROYAL SOIREE! I was so glad to meet some of you FOODIES! It is always nice to meet someone in person that you are talking to only by Facebook or through the website. It is just like when people meet me for the first time, they always say, “ARE YOU REALLY GEAUXASKALICE”? It is like I am not real thing but some vague thing that is on the internet!!!
Judging was difficult as usual. I am astounded by the creativity that surrounds those dishes presented for us to judge. I think the thing I like most about the chefs is their positive attitudes. It is almost as if they are saying, “WHETHER I THINK I CAN OR THINK I CAN’T—I AM RIGHT—JUST AS LONG AS I KEEP ON STRIVING FOR THAT GOAL”!
A GREAT LIFE ISN’T ABOUT HUGE THINGS….IT’S ABOUT THE SMALL THINGS THAT MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE! Once again, Jason Huguet from the Steamboat Warehouse won the “OVERALL BEST DISH” and the “PEOPLE’S OVERALL BEST DISH”. Jason’s STUFFED FLOUNDER WITH A FLORENTINE CREAM SAUCE was the dish that everyone just loved.
BRAVO TO ALL THE PARTICIPATING CHEFS AND TO THE COMMUNITY FOR SUPPORTING THIS EVENT AND TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR PULLING THIS ALL TOGETHER—YOU WERE ALL WINNERS IN MY BOOK!
