Refreshing Brandy Slush

9 c. boiling water, divided
4 regular-size tea bags
2 c. sugar
1 (12-oz.) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 (12-oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 2/3 c. good quality brandy
¼ c. fresh lime juice
4 (10-oz.) bottles club soda, chilled
Lime slices, garnish

  1. Pour 2 c. boiling water over tea bags, cover and let seep 5 minutes.
  2. Remove and discard tea bags.
  3. Stir together remaining boiling water and 2 c. in a large pot, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
  4. Stir in tea mixture, orange juice, lemonade, brandy and lime juice.
  5. Let cool to room temperature.
  6. Divide mixture between two (1-gallon plastic bags).
  7. Freeze for at least 4 hours.
  8. Remove bags from freezer 30 minutes before serving.
  9. Squeeze 1 bag with hands to break mixture into chunks, pour into pitcher and stir in 2 bottles of club soda until slushy.
  10. Repeat with remaining bag if needed.
  11. Garnish.
