Novelty Red Velvet Skillet Cake

1 ½ c. flour
¼ c. unsweetened cocoa powder
½ t. baking soda
¼ t. salt
1 stick butter, softened
½ c. sugar
½ c. packed light brown sugar
1 egg
2 t. liquid red food color
1 t. white vinegar
1 c. semisweet chocolate chunks
1 c. white chocolate chips
Vanilla ice cream
Chocolate syrup

  1. Preheat oven 350.
  2. Coat 10” cast-iron skillet with PAM.
  3. Whisk together four, cocoa, baking soda and salt in bowl.
  4. Cream butter, sugar, brown sugar in separate bowl with mixer until light and fluffy.
  5. Beat in egg, food color, and vinegar until combined.
  6. Beat in flour mixture just until combined.
  7. Stir in chocolate chunks and white chips. Press dough into prepared skillet.
  8. Bake for 18-22 minutes or until set.
  9. Serve warm with ice cream and chocolate syrup.
