Grilled Fillet Mignons with Crabmeat Saute

  • Salt, Red/Black Pepper, Garlic Powder
  • Lemon Butter Basting Sauce
  • Alice’s Steak Sauce
  • 1 lb. of fresh lump crabmeat
  • 1 stick butter
  • Olive oil
  • Green onions
  • Parsley
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  1. Season steaks and place in refrigerator until ready to prepare. Let sit at room temperature for 1 hour before cooking.
  2. Make Lemon Butter Basting Sauce and Alice’s Steak Sauce. Let the sauces sit on stove in their own saucepans.
  3. In skillet, melt 1 stick of butter and about 2 T. olive oil.
  4. Saute green onions and parsley for about 1 minute. Just turn off heat until ready to serve crabmeat.
  5. When ready to serve steaks, heat up butter/olive oil mixture.
  6. Add crabmeat to it and season with little salt and white pepper and garlic powder.
  7. Squeeze lemon over it. Do not over stir the crabmeat. You do not want to break it up.
  8. When you plate up steak, place a mound of crabmeat on top of steak.
*****We like to baste the steaks at the beginning of cooking with lemon butter sauce and finish up with the steak sauce. My family also likes to put the steak sauce over their baked potatoes when they are served.

  • 3 chopped shallots or one small onion
  • 3 T. minced garlic
  • 1 c. lemon juice
  • 1 bottle of Wishbone Italian dressing or any brand you like
  • 1 c. of white wine or leftover white wine that is not suitable for drinking anymore
  • ½ c. Lea and Perrins
  • 2 T. Tobasco
