Fresh Slices of Mozzarella with Balsamic Reduction Sauce and Fresh Basil
Ingredients
- 1 lb. log or ball of fresh mozzarella
- 1 (10-12 oz.) bottle of BONANNO Balsamic Reduced Sauce
- 1 bunch fresh basil
- Kosher salt
- Fresh black pepper
Instructions
- In a shallow serving dish, drizzle some of the balsamic sauce around the bottom (a very thin layer).
- Slice the mozzarella into even slices and layer them in the serving dish with a little overlapping.
- Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper.
- Drizzle over the top some more of the reduced balsamic sauce.
- Garnish with fresh basil.
- Take the remaining basil and do a rough chop and serve on the side as extra garnish.
Notes
*****The brand “BONANNO” I bought in Italy. I googled it and found it. It is merely taking a very good quality balsamic and placing in a saucepan and simmer until it thickens, if you can’t find it to buy. I love this sauce. I put it on all veggies.
