Comfy Beer Bread
COMFY BEER BREAD
3 c. self-rising flour
3 T. sugar
12 oz. beer, at room temp
4 T. melted butter
Crisco shortening
- Grease 9×5” loaf pan with shortening.
- Preheat oven 350.
- Stir flour and sugar together.
- Pour in beer and stir until foaming stops and flour is incorporated.
- Spoon into pan.
- Bake 50-60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
- Immediately remove from pan and set on wire rack on top of rimmed baking sheet.
- Pour melted butter over top and brush sides.
- Let cool 15 minutes and serve warm.
*ONCE BREAD IS COOLED, IT CAN BE SLICED AND USE FOR SANDWICHES, TOAST OR SERVED PLAIN.
