Ingredients
  • Apple Filling:
  • ½ c. peeled and diced Granny Smith apples
  • 1 t. ground cinnamon
  • ¼ t. ground nutmeg
  • Batter:
  • ½ c. Bisquick mix
  • ⅓ c. sugar
  • ⅓ c. milk
  • 2 T. butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • Topping:
  • ¾ c. Cool Whip
  • ½ c. caramel topping
  • ½ c. chopped and toasted pecans or walnuts
Instructions
  1. Heat oven 375. Place paper baking cups into 12 regular sized muffin cups. Spray with PAM.
  2. In a bowl, combine the apple filling ingredients and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together batter ingredients.
  4. Spoon 1 level T. of batter into paper cups.
  5. Top with 2 T. of apple mixture.
  6. Spool 1 T. of remaining batter over the top of each muffin cup.
  7. Bake 15 minutes or until center is set and edges are golden.
  8. Cool 5 minutes. Remove from muffin pan.
  9. To serve, you can remove the paper lining or leave it. Place the dessert on a serving bowl. Top each with 1 T. Cool Whip, 2 t. caramel sauce and 1 t. nuts.
