Ingredients
  • Coffee Ice Cream: Add 2 T. instant coffee when adding the vanilla. You can also used flavored coffees.
  • Mint Ice Cream: Use 1 t. oil of peppermint instead of vanilla. You can add a little green food coloring to achieve the green look. You can also add crushed frozen chocolate mint cookies—after ice cream is frozen.
  • Chocolate Chip Ice Cream: Use only ½ t. vanilla and add 1 c. mini chocolate chips to mixture before freezing.
  • Added fresh or frozen fruits like peaches, strawberries, raspberries, etc.: Add 1 ½-2 c. of the fruit. You can cut into sizes you like (it can be pureed to big chunks.)
Instructions
  1. Thoroughly mix all ingredients.
  2. Pour into ice cream cylinder.
  3. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  4. Place the cylinder in ice cream machine. Freeze.
Notes
*****Makes 1 ½ quarts of ice cream. Real easy, no cooking.

Ingredients
  • ½ lb. semisweet chocolate, cut into pieces
  • 2 c. milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 pt. light cream
  • 1 T. vanilla
  • ⅛ t. salt
Instructions
  1. Put chocolate and milk in pan and cook over low heat, stirring frequently, until melted, about 20 minutes.
  2. Beat eggs in bowl, slowly adding the sugar.
  3. Add the cream, vanilla, salt and mix well. Stir in chocolate mixture and chill.
  4. Place in ice cream machine and freeze.
