Alice's Dump Cake
Ingredients
- 2 cans favorite fruit pie filling (peach, blueberry, cherry, etc.) You can combine if you like.
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 2 sticks oleo or butter, melted
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 1 can flaked coconut, optional
Instructions
- Spray a 13x9” baking pan.
- Pour the fruit filling in the bottom of the pan. If you are mixing two, mix before placing in bottom of pan.
- In medium bowl, mix together the cake mix, nuts and coconut.
- Crumble over the fruit.
- Pour the melted butter over the top of the crumb mixture.
- Bake 350 for 45 minutes or until bubbly and brown.
Notes
You can make this ahead of time, refrigerate or freeze. Defrost and place in oven at 350 just to heat it up. Serve with ice cream or whipped topping. Can be heated in microwave also. Great dessert to make and have in freezer for unexpected events.
