Tangy-Buttermilk Marinated Chicken Breasts
2 c. well-shaken buttermilk
Kosher salt, red/black pepper
6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
Olive oil
½ c. homemade or good-quality store-bought bbq sauce
1. In bowl, whisk buttermilk.
2. Season chicken with salt, red/black pepper.
3. Place chicken in zip lock bag and pour buttermilk mixture over it. Shake to cover all parts of chicken. Let sit for 30 minutes or more.
4. Heat grill to 400.
5. Shake off excess marinade and pat the chicken dry.
6. Lightly coat the breasts with olive oil and a little more salt and pepper.
7. Grill chicken 3-4 minutes before flipping.
8. Flip and cook another 3-4 minutes.
9. Brush the top with bbq sauce, flip and brush more on the other side.
10. Grill until internal temp is 160.
11. Let rest 2-3 minutes before serving.
