Steak Tips with Mushrooms and Onions
Ingredients
- Garlic Butter:
- 1 lb. butter, room temperature
- ½ head of garlic, peeled and minced
- 1. Mix the butter and garlic to make the garlic butter. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- ¼ c. dry white wine
- ¼ c. chopped fresh parsley
- 1 large onion, sliced
- ½ lb. sliced mushrooms
- 1 lb. beef tenderloin tips
- Salt, black pepper and garlic powder to taste
- Dash of sherry, optional
Instructions
- Melt 2 T. of garlic butter in large skillet over medium heat.
- Add onions and sauté until tender.
- Add mushrooms and cook lightly.
- Remove mushrooms and onions to another plate and keep warm.
- Season meat with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Melt 2-4 T. of garlic butter in skillet. Add meat and sauté to desired doneness.
- Add the white wine and mushrooms and onions. Blend and heat through.
- Add sherry if desired.
- When serving, offer additional garlic butter to put on top of steak tips.
Notes
*****Serve over mashed potatoes or noodles. Great way to use leftover cooked steak. If you do this, just skip the step where you cook the meat. You are just heating the meat.
