Sophisticated Chocolate Bourbon Balls
1 ¼ c. crushed chocolate wafer cookies
1 c. powdered sugar
2/3 c. toasted chopped pecans
4 T. butter, melted
¼ c. bourbon
1 t. instant espresso powder
¼ t. kosher salt
1/3 c. turbinado or white sanding sugar
- Combine all ingredients except sanding sugar in bowl.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until firm.
- Scoop mixture by rounded teaspoonful, then roll into 1” balls with your hands.
- Roll balls in sanding sugar to coat, put on rimmed baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 12 hours.
*Will keep for 2 weeks.
