Good Morning Foodies! I now think that I am ahead of the game. My little Christmas visit to New Orleans two weeks ago help put me in the real holiday spirit. This past weekend I had a cozy dinner for some of my “BEST FRIENDS,” right in front of the fireplace. It was small, casual, relaxing and just fun to visit with those you care so deeply about without all the hoopla! Now my motor is no longer in idle but ready to GEAUX! Bring it on!! We all need to charge our power source every now and then, especially during these holidays. We all get pulled in a million directions. Take the time to put your interests and desires in the proper order. If you have to force yourself to do something or go somewhere you don’t want, you are going to be miserable. Yes, I know there are certain commitments that we have to adhere to but just try your best to look for the good in the occasion. Remember today at 5:30 pm is the book signing at Andrepont Printing. There was a great response yesterday about this book. Come on out and join the fun! The title of the book is “IMAGES OF AMERICA-ST. LANDRY PARISH”. You are going to love today’s menu if you like doing the late morning/early lunch (BRUNCH) type of day. Last year my daughter-in-law, Nicole did the wonderful casserole which covered all the bases of what you need to eat on NEW YEAR’S DAY! It is so good and easy! I think one of the most important things to remember about Christmas is this—“HAVE GOOD WILL IN YOUR HEART AND THEN GIVE IT AWAY”! Enjoy the day—8 days and counting!
