Good Morning Foodies! Today is REPEAT WEDNESDAY AND GADGET DAY from E’s Kitchen in Lafayette. Just a reminder if you go to E’s Kitchen’s website—you will see he has added many things to his new place. He now serves lunch, has great cooking classes and other type of classes like using, handling and cleaning knives. He has also added off-the cuff beers, wines and liquors. Check it out!
Today’s gadget is a “SALT STONE”! I must say I find this quite interesting. My neighbors gave us a whole set up of this salt-stone cookware. I have not had time to actually sit down and look at it. I have been reading about it and I think it might be something that will catch on. I know many restaurants feature this way of food preparation. I will keep you posted on my progress.
The SALT STONE is sourced from natural salt deposits found in the Himalayas. The dense crystalline composition adds complex flavor to all types of foods. Heat on the grill to sear seafood and meat, or chill for serving a selection of fruits, vegetables and cheeses with a hint of salt.
-The mineral-rich pink Himalayan salt adds delicate flavor to food.
-Retains hot and cold temperatures evenly.
-Harvested from ancient Himalayan sea salt deposits.
-Heat on the grill to cook thin cuts of meat, fish and shellfish.
-Chill in the refrigerator to serve cold appetizers, cheese, sushi and fruit.
-Naturally anti-microbial and easy to clean.
-Plate can be used repeatedly until it eventually diminishes with use.
-Size is 8”x12”x1 ½” high.
I THINK YOU CAN ALSO RACE CRAWFISH ON IT!!!!!!!!!!! Have a great day!
