Ingredients
  • ½ c. miniature semisweet chocolate chips, extra for decorating as seeds
  • 1 box Betty Crocker Super Moist white cake mix
  • 1 (.13-oz.) cherry flavored or other red-colored unsweetened soft drink mix
  • 1 container whipped fluffy white frosting
  • Green and red food coloring
  • Green jelly beans
Instructions
  1. Heat oven 350. Spray 2 (9”) round baking cake pans with PAM.
  2. In a small bowl, toss ½ c of the chocolate chips with 1 T. of the cake mix.
  3. In large bowl, prepare the remaining cake mix by following directions on the box and also add the drink mix. Mix well.
  4. Stir in the ½ c. chocolate chips.
  5. Pour into pans.
  6. Bake following directions on cake box. Remove from oven and let cool.
  7. In small bowl, stir 1 c. of frosting with 10-12 drops green food coloring.
  8. Stir in 10-12 drops of red food coloring to the remaining frosting.
  9. Frost the sides of the cake with green food coloring and press the green jelly beans into the frosting.
  10. Frost top of cakes with red frosting. Press the some of the remaining chocolate chips into the frosting to look like seeds.
  11. Cut into wedges to serve. Store loosely covered.
