Mint Julep

Instructions

Rub 1 mint leaf over inside of metal julep cup (traditional cup used for this drink) or a highball glass. Make sure leaf touches all areas of cup. Drop leaf in cup when done.
Add remaining mint leaves and simple syrup to cup. Using a wooden spoon, mash the leaves and syrup together.
Fill cup halfway with crushed ice. Add bourbon and stir until the metal cup gets icy.
Fill the cup the rest of way with crushed ice. Stir once. Garnish and enjoy!
