Microwaved BBQ Shrimp
Ingredients
  • 2 ½-3 lbs. large, unpeeled shrimp, heads removed
  • Black and red pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • 2 sticks butter
  • ⅓ c. Worcestershire sauce
  • ⅓ c. lemon juice
  • ¼ t. Tabasco
  • Thinly sliced onions, enough to cover your shrimp
  • Thinly sliced lemons, enough to cover your shrimp
  • Salt
Instructions
  1. Season shrimp with black and red pepper and garlic powder.
  2. Lay shrimp in a microwave safe dish that you can lay the shrimp in one layer. Try not to overlap them.
  3. Lay thin slices of onions on top and then the lemon slices.
  4. Melt butter. Add Worcestershire, lemon juice and Tabasco. Mix well.
  5. Pour over shrimp.
  6. Cover with wax paper. Microwave on HIGH for 10-12 minutes depending on size of shrimp.
  7. Remove from microwave and season with salt. Recover and let sit for 3 minutes.
  8. Remove wax paper and stir. Serve hot with good dipping French Bread.
Notes
*****If you have to do several batches, make a separate batch of the butter sauce for each pan. Do not try to divide sauce between pans.
