Good Morning Foodies! I hope you all enjoyed the nice warm weekend and that thing called the “SUN”! I was starting to feel like those people that live underground. I just have a strange feeling that OLE MAN WINTER is not done with us. I can recall an EASTER—on Good Friday-Grand Peeps were swimming and then on Saturday and Sunday, we had snow flurries and sleet. It was soooo cold. So don’t put your winter gear away yet! As you can see, this month is quickly coming to an end. We are two weeks away from the MASKED HOLIDAY-MARDI GRAS! You Foodies out there, who are not from Louisiana, you need to put this on your BUCKET LIST! The best way to experience this is to go to both ends of the spectrum. There is the official gala stuff in THE BIG EASY and then there is the in between celebrations in the towns of Lafayette, Morgan City, New Roads, Baton Rouge, etc.—then there is the true country-type like MAMOU! You need to experience it all!

The menus for the next two weeks are some ideas for quick foods to have around if you are entertaining during this holiday. If you are not entertaining, it is just good to have so you don’t have to spend the celebration time in the kitchen.
