Lemony Sauted Mushrooms and Onions
LEMONY SAUTEED MUSHROOMS AND ONIONS
2 large portabella mushroom caps, gills removed and sliced
1 large red onion, thinly sliced
1 c. of baby pearl onions, peeled but left whole
8 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
Olive oil
Salt, black pepper, garlic powder
Juice of 4 lemons and 4 limes or just lemons
1. In a large saute pan, drizzle with olive oil and heat.
2. Add the baby pearl onions and saute until they start to brown.
3. Add the red onions and saute until tender.
4. Add the garlic and mushroom slices.
5. Saute until all are tender.
6. Turn heat off and season and pour lemon juice on it. Mix well and taste for additional seasoning. Heat when ready to serve.
*****You can add seafood to this and pasta for a nice dish. You can also add other veggies, etc. Great base for almost anything.
