LEGACIES EVERY WHERE!!!!!!!!

Good Morning Foodies!

LEGACY—a word I have been hearing and reading about these past few weeks, as a result of all the events going on in the world today. This has caused me to pause and think about the word for a moment.

I know we all think to ourselves-what people will think of us when we are gone—“WHAT WILL BE MY LEGACY?”-we have all asked ourselves that question.

I know we have all witnessed the various ways that people are remembered, which can encompass anything from BRAVERY ON THE BATTLEFIELD; MAKING A GRAND DONATION TO SOME UNIVERSITY, HOSPITAL OR WORTHY CAUSE; ACHIEVING SOMETHING NO ONE ELSE HAS ACCOMPLISHED; DISCOVERING A NEW INVENTION, ETC. These are all POSITIVE INCENTIVES FOR A GRAND LEGACY.

I then thought to myself-EVIL PEOPLE, EVIL DEEDS, EVIL THOUGHTS, also create a NEGATIVE LEGACY!

With all those jumbled thoughts, I tried to clear my mind. I think we all begin by trying to be POSITIVE and hopefully, stay on that path, but there are things that can alter your thought process.

I reflect on the many GRADUATIONS that have recently occurred. If I were looking out over a crowd of YOUNG, ENTHUSIASTIC INDIVIDUALS, I would pose the following question to them. “What is a LEGACY?

It does not have to be a SPEECH at graduation, nor the accumulation of AWARDS, PLAQUES, or MEDALS. It is the THOUSAND PRECIOUS MOMENTS in your everyday life wherein you’ve TOUCHED PEOPLE’S LIVES and you didn’t even know it!

Your GIFT is the THING you do the ABSOLUTE BEST with the LEAST AMOUNT of EFFORT!

THAT IS WHAT I WANT MY LEGACY TO BE!
