Your Favorite Crockpot Pie/Cobbler
Ingredients
- 2 (20 oz.) cans of your favorite pie filling (apple, peach, blueberry, cherry, etc.)
- 1 (15.25-oz.) box of Spice Cake Mix
- 1 stick butter
- 1 c. chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, etc.), optional
- ½-1 c. shredded can coconut, optional
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the cake mix with the nuts and coconut, if you want to include one or both. If you do not want either, just skip this step.
- In crock pot, dump in the 2 cans of your favorite pie filling.
- Pour the dry cake mix over the pie filling (with or without the nuts, etc.)
- Cut the stick of butter in half and place on top of cake mix.
- Cover and cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours (depending on your crock pot). Mine took about 3 ½ hours. You want to see that the cake mix is completely absorbed into the mixture.
- At end, stir all ingredients together to mix well, optional.
- Serve with your favorite ice cream or whipped topping.
Notes
*****You can vary the cake mix and the pie fillings. I think I will try blueberry pie filling with lemon cake mix. Use your imagination!
