Easy Crock Pot Roast
Ingredients
- 3 lb. chuck roast, seasoned
- 1 (6-oz.) pkg. Good Seasons Italian Salad Dressing Mix
- 1 (1.0-oz.) pkg. Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing Mix
- 1 (7.5-oz.) pkg. McCormick Brown Gravy Mix
- 1 large Vidalia onion, chopped
- 1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 (10-oz.) can Ro-Tel
- 2 c. Chicken Broth
- 1 c. dry red wine or water
- 2 bunches chopped green onion
- Wondra (gravy thickener)
- Salt, red/black pepper, garlic powder
Instructions
- In the base of crock pot, lay the onions in the bottom.
- In a bowl, combine the 3 mixes with the mushrooms, Ro-Tel, broth, wine or water. Blend well.
- Pour sauce into crock pot.
- Lay the seasoned meat into the sauce. Spoon the gravy over the meat.
- Cover and set the crock pot to cook on LOW for 4-6 hours or on HIGH FOR 3-4 hours. Actually, if you start out on HIGH and then go to LOW, it will be fine until you are ready to serve.
- I like to take the meat out and thicken the gravy with Wondra. You can do it with flour or cornstarch.
- Garnish gravy with chopped green onions. Taste for seasoning.
Notes
*****Great with mashed potatoes, egg noodles or rice.
