Divine German Chocolate Dump Cake
Ingredients
- 1 c. flaked coconut
- 2 c. chopped toasted pecans, divided
- 1 pkg. devil’s food cake mix
- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
- ½ c. butter, melted
- 1 T. vanilla
- 2 c. powdered sugar
- ½ c. semisweet chocolate chips
- Cool Whip or Ice Cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven 350.
- Grease 13x9” baking pan.
- Sprinkle coconut and 1 c. pecans into baking pan.
- Prepare cake mix following pkg. instructions.
- Pour batter into prepared pan over pecan mixture.
- In large bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and vanilla until smooth.
- Beat in powdered sugar.
- Stir in chips and rest of pecans.
- Spoon over batter.
- Cut through batter with knife to swirl.
- Bake 35-40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool completely in pan. Cut in squares to serve. Optional to add Cool Whip or Ice Cream.
