Delicious Chocolate Pecan Mousse Tart
Ingredients
- CRUST:
- ½ c. butter, softened
- 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
- ¼ c. powdered sugar
- 1 ½ c. flour
- ¼ t. salt
- ½ c. finely chopped toasted pecans
- PAM
- MOUSSE:
- 1 (12-oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate morsels
- 2 ½ c. heavy cream, divided
- 1 T. bourbon
- 1 t. vanilla
- ½ c. rough chopped toasted pecans
Instructions
- CRUST: Preheat oven 400. Beat butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar with mixer until creamy.
- Gradually add flour and salt, beating on low until blended after each addition.
- Add finely chopped pecans and beat just until blended.
- Shape dough into disk, wrap in plastic and chill for 1 hour.
- Place dough on lightly floured surface and roll into 13x9” rectangle.
- Spray a 12x8” rectangular tart pan with removable bottom with PAM.
- Gently place dough into pan. Press dough into pan and up sides, trim off excess dough along sides.
- Bake 15-17 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove pan to wire rack and cool completely.
- MOUSSE: Microwave chocolate and ½ c. cream in microwave safe glass dish on HIGH for 1 ½ minutes or until melted, stirring every 30 seconds.
- Stir in bourbon and vanilla, let sit for 5 minutes.
- Beat remaining 2 c. of cream on medium-high speed mixer for 2-3 minutes or until medium peaks form.
- Fold cream into chocolate mixture.
- Spread on cooled tart shell.
- Top with rough chopped toasted pecans. Chill for 24 hours. Cut into squares or bars to serve.
