Comfy Beer Bread

COMFY BEER BREAD
3 c. self-rising flour
3 T. sugar
12 oz. beer, at room temp
4 T. melted butter
Crisco shortening

  1. Grease 9×5” loaf pan with shortening.
  2. Preheat oven 350.
  3. Stir flour and sugar together.
  4. Pour in beer and stir until foaming stops and flour is incorporated.
  5. Spoon into pan.
  6. Bake 50-60 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Immediately remove from pan and set on wire rack on top of rimmed baking sheet.
  8. Pour melted butter over top and brush sides.
  9. Let cool 15 minutes and serve warm.
    *ONCE BREAD IS COOLED, IT CAN BE SLICED AND USE FOR SANDWICHES, TOAST OR SERVED PLAIN.
