Cheesy Broccoli Macaroni Bake
Ingredients
- 8-oz. block of sharp cheddar cheese
- 8 oz. block of mozzarella
- 6 oz. elbow macaroni pasta
- 2 c. fresh broccoli florets
- 2 T. plain wheat germ
- ⅓ c. crumbled bacon bits
- 1 T. mustard
- 1 c. skimmed milk or whole milk
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven 450. Spray PAM in a 6 c. baking dish.
- Cut the cheeses into cubes.
- In large saucepan, cook pasta in boiling salted water with 2 T. added olive oil. Three minutes before pasta is done, add the broccoli and cook. Drain and return to the pot.
- Add the cubed cheese, wheat germ, bacon, mustard and salt and pepper to the pasta mixture.
- Mix well.
- Spoon into baking dish. Pour milk over the top. Bake until bubbly and golden, about 18-20 minutes.
