Caramel Apple Mini Pies
Ingredients
- Apple Filling:
- ½ c. peeled and diced Granny Smith apples
- 1 t. ground cinnamon
- ¼ t. ground nutmeg
- Batter:
- ½ c. Bisquick mix
- ⅓ c. sugar
- ⅓ c. milk
- 2 T. butter, melted
- 1 egg
- Topping:
- ¾ c. Cool Whip
- ½ c. caramel topping
- ½ c. chopped and toasted pecans or walnuts
Instructions
- Heat oven 375. Place paper baking cups into 12 regular sized muffin cups. Spray with PAM.
- In a bowl, combine the apple filling ingredients and set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together batter ingredients.
- Spoon 1 level T. of batter into paper cups.
- Top with 2 T. of apple mixture.
- Spool 1 T. of remaining batter over the top of each muffin cup.
- Bake 15 minutes or until center is set and edges are golden.
- Cool 5 minutes. Remove from muffin pan.
- To serve, you can remove the paper lining or leave it. Place the dessert on a serving bowl. Top each with 1 T. Cool Whip, 2 t. caramel sauce and 1 t. nuts.
