Baked Egg Baskets
Ingredients
- 6 crusty dinner rolls
- 6 large eggs
- 6 t. fresh chopped chives
- 6 t. heavy cream
- Salt and pepper
- 6 t. freshly grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Slice off top of each dinner roll and gently remove some of the bread until there is a hole large enough to accommodate the egg.
- Arrange rolls on baking sheet. Reserve tops of bread.
- Crack egg into each roll.
- Top each egg with chives and cream, salt and pepper. Then sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake in 350 oven until eggs are set and bread is toasted, about 20-30 minutes.
- After eggs have cooked 20 minutes, place bread tops on baking sheet and bake until golden brown.
- Let set for 5 minutes.
- Place top on rolls and serve warm.
Notes
****You can change up the herbs and cheeses. You can add bits of bacon, ham, etc.
