AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL!

July 1, 2013:

Good Morning Foodies! I almost did not post this week because I feel most people could care less about reading a blog during a big holiday week. Then I thought, honoring our country is always worth the time and effort. This week will only have postings on today and tomorrow. All recipes are great for the upcoming FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND! I hope you all get to gather with family and friends, eat some barbecue, eat some home-made ice cream, cool off in some water hole, enjoy some fireworks and just be thankful for our great country. I also think it is another day we can still pay homage to our great military people. It is because of them that we can do all these fun things! REAL HEROES DON’T WEAR CAPES—THEY WEAR DOG TAGS! Next week I am going to share an outing I had with THE MORROW GALS (Aunts, Sisters, Nieces and Cousins). My niece, Missy Bienvenu Andrade, got us on the CAJUN FOOD TOUR BUS. There were 14 of us. It was most entertaining. It is a great way to spend time with love ones and friends and enjoy the fabulous hidden eateries of Lafayette and surrounding area. I will give you more details next week. There is too much going on already this week. I am still recovering from the fact that BERT AND ERNIE ARE GAY! Come on people, they are PUPPETS!! Have a great day!

Today’s Menu:

Grilled Root Beer Pork Ribs
