Chicken Livers Wrapped in Bacon
Ingredients
- ½ lb. chicken livers (cut into 36 pieces)
- 12 slices bacon (cut into thirds)
- 6 oz. can water chestnuts, drained, optional
- 8 oz. jar sliced jalapenos, drained, optional
- Teriyaki Sauce
- Salt, black pepper
Instructions
- Season the livers and marinate in the teriyaki sauce over night.
- When ready to prepare, remove from marinade.
- Take the liver, chestnut, jalapeno and wrap the bacon around it and secure it.
- Place 12 on a plate lined with paper towels.
- Cover with another paper towel.
- Place in microwave on HIGH and cook for 6 minutes. You can also place on a rack on a baking sheet and bake in 375 oven until bacon is crispy and liver is cooked, about 8-10 minutes.
Notes
*****You have several options. You can do just the liver and bacon. You can also take dates and shove the liver into and then wrap in bacon and cook. This is really different and good. It is that salty/sweet action.
