Easy Crock Pot Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 4 (extra thick cut) boneless pork chops
- Minced garlic
- ½ c. soy sauce
- ½ c. French dressing
- ½ c. McCormick’s Herb and Garlic Marinade
- 1 cloves of garlic
- Salt, red/black pepper, garlic powder
- 1 large Vidalia onion
- 6-8 mini sweet peppers, sliced
- 1 (8-oz.) pkgs. Sliced baby portabella mushrooms
- 1 (7-oz.) container of pico de gallo
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 packet of dry Spicy Ranch dressing
- 1 c. red wine or broth
- Chopped green onions, garnish
Instructions
- Slit the pork chops on the side but not all the way through. Season the pork chops inside and outside with salt, red/black pepper and garlic powder. Place some minced garlic in the slit.
- In a bowl, mix the soy sauce, French dressing and marinade and pour into a baggie in which you place the pork chops. Let marinade 3-4 hours or overnight.
- In your crock pot, place the onions, peppers and mushrooms in the bottom.
- Place the pork chops on top of it (do not include the marinade that it has been sitting in—discard it.)
- In a bowl, combine the pico, soup, ranch dressing, and wine.
- Pour over the pork chops.
- Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.
- If you wish to darken the gravy, add a little Kitchen bouquet (about 1 T.) The gravy is good with egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
- Garnish the finished dish with chopped green onions.
Notes
*****You can add more pork chops without increasing any of the other ingredients. I think as many as 4 more chops can be added.
