Fantastic Strawberry Margaritas

FANTASTIC STRAWBERRY MARGARITAS
1 t. fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered (about 4 c.)
½ c. sugar
Juice of 3 limes
2 c. silver tequila
½ c. triple sec
1 c. freeze-dried strawberries
¼ c. kosher salt
Lemon wedges, garnish

1. Puree fresh berries, sugar and lime juice in blender until smooth.
2. Strain through fine-mesh sieve into large measuring cup or pitcher.
3. Stir in tequila and triple sec and refrigerate until ready to serve.
4. Just before serving, crush the freeze-dried strawberries in plastic bag with rolling pin.
5. Mix the crushed berries with salt in bowl and pour into shallow plate.
6. Use lime wedge to wet rim of glass, then dip rim in strawberry salt.
7. Fill glass with ice and pour in margarita.
8. Garnish with lime wedge.
