Microwaved BBQ Shrimp
Ingredients
- 2 ½-3 lbs. large, unpeeled shrimp, heads removed
- Black and red pepper
- Garlic powder
- 2 sticks butter
- ⅓ c. Worcestershire sauce
- ⅓ c. lemon juice
- ¼ t. Tabasco
- Thinly sliced onions, enough to cover your shrimp
- Thinly sliced lemons, enough to cover your shrimp
- Salt
Instructions
- Season shrimp with black and red pepper and garlic powder.
- Lay shrimp in a microwave safe dish that you can lay the shrimp in one layer. Try not to overlap them.
- Lay thin slices of onions on top and then the lemon slices.
- Melt butter. Add Worcestershire, lemon juice and Tabasco. Mix well.
- Pour over shrimp.
- Cover with wax paper. Microwave on HIGH for 10-12 minutes depending on size of shrimp.
- Remove from microwave and season with salt. Recover and let sit for 3 minutes.
- Remove wax paper and stir. Serve hot with good dipping French Bread.
Notes
*****If you have to do several batches, make a separate batch of the butter sauce for each pan. Do not try to divide sauce between pans.
