Sis's Oven Chicken Stew
Ingredients
- 1 fryer, cut up and seasoned
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can water or broth
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 2 T. Kitchen Bouquet
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped (save some for garnish)
- 1 bunch fresh parsley, chopped (save some for garnish)
- Salt, red/black pepper/garlic powder
Instructions
- Season chicken with salt, red/black pepper and garlic powder.
- Place chicken pieces in roasting pan or Magnlite pot.
- Mix soup, water or broth, soup mix, Kitchen bouquet and chopped veggies (saving some of the green onions and parsley for garnish.
- Pour the mixture over the chicken and cover.
- Bake 350 for 1 ½-2 hours or until chicken is tender.
- Remove the lid for the last 15-20 minutes and kick up temp to 400 and let the dish get a little golden brown.
- Serve over rice or egg noodles or mashed potatoes and garnish with extra green onions and parsley.
