Ingredients
  • 1 quart chopped pecans
  • 1 t. salt
  • 2 (8-oz.) container chopped dates
  • 1 t. baking powder
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 t. vanilla
  • 1 c. flour
  • 4 eggs
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven 400.
  2. In large bowl, beat eggs.
  3. Add sugar, vanilla, pecans and dates. Mix well by hand.
  4. In separate bowl, mix flour, salt and baking powder. Gradually add this mixture to the date mixture. Mix well by hand.
  5. Spray 13x9” baking pan with PAM.
  6. Spread mixture into pan.
  7. Bake for 1 hour. Test with toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. DO NOT OVERBAKE

*****This recipe was given to me by a friend, Cynthia Lormand. She said this was given to her by a dear friend. Cynthia always gives us this delicious loaf bread for the holidays. It is so yummy!
