Fried Corn on the Cob
Ingredients
- 1 c. whole milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 ½ c. flour
- Salt, red/black pepper
- 6 ears of fresh corn, cleaned (cut in half)
- Canola oil, for frying
- Paprika
- Melted butter, optional
Instructions
- Combine milk and egg in shallow dish and mix well.
- Combine flour and season with salt and red/black pepper in another shallow dish.
- Dip each ear of corn in milk/egg mixture, then roll in seasoned flour.
- Knock off excess flour.
- In large skillet, heat oil to 350. Put enough oil that will cover half way up the side of corn cob.
- Add corn and fry for 3 minutes per side. Just keep rolling it around until golden on all sides.
- Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with extra salt and paprika.
- You can have melted butter on the side for dipping, optional.
