Good Morning Foodies!

This past weekend, as most of you witnessed, HUBBY and I entertained 10 “AMAZING YOUTHFUL ADULTS!” It was most fulfilling for HUBBY and me! The mere fact that our PEEP, CELESTE and her HUBBY-JOE, wanted to be around us and expose their friends to us—is a wonderful blessing! I can’t really say growing up, I wanted my friends to hang out with me and my parents. Well, I have learned, “SHAME ON ME”, for not taking advantage of that precious time. We all know that LOVE begins in a MOMENT, GROWS over time and lasts FOREVER!

This past weekend, as we hung around and had many discussions about life, etc. funny stories surely popped up. You know when we were young, we listened to our Parents/Grandparents tell their famous tales! There is the one where they walked 5 miles to school in whatever weather was upon them that day! All we heard was-BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! Well, we tell our kids, how we had to walk through SHAG CARPET to get to the TV to change the channel. You know walking through that SHAG CARPET, your toes picked up things like, “LEGOS, LITE/BRITE BULBS, MARBLES, JACKS, ETC. Jokingly, we tell our kids, we had children, so they could get up and change the TV channel because there were no remotes back in the day! Ah yes, Life’s little lessons!

If I had to share any words of wisdom to these young adults, I would say, “Be more concerned with your CHARACTER than your REPUTATION. Your CHARACTER is what you really are while your REPUTATION is merely what OTHERS think you are!

Kudos to the parents of these guests of ours! Your parents would have been really proud of your behavior, your kindness and gratitude! We all just need to remember, “It is not how much we GIVE, but how much LOVE we put into GIVING!”

Taking time today to wish GRAND PEEP, TYLER ALICE, a very happy birthday! Baby girl is about to close up her senior year! My, my how does this happen! Her beautiful SMILE and BIG HEART will carry her far in life! Grammie and Poppa love you so much! Have a wonderful day!!!
