TWO EVENTS EQUAL MANY BLESSINGS!

Good Morning Foodies!

These past two weeks have created for me some very happy moments. The first, was a simple meeting with two gifted gentlemen! The MORROW CLAN is hosting an engagement party for our niece, ALLISON MORROW and her wonderful husband-to-be, JACOB WEAVER. My sister-in-law, SIS MORROW LAPORTE, and myself met with KEVIN ROBIN AND SANJAY MAHARAJ, the owners of LITTLE BIG CUP/WAREHOUSE in Arnaudville, LA. They are catering our event. These two very talented men are such a pleasure to work with. They have a way of making you feel like family and are so, so, so kind. They make you laugh and have wonderful stories to share. You can rest easy when you put things in their hands. I like to think of these two guys as the “ODD COUPLE”—trust me, I mean that in a good way. It is also a nice thought in that this next generation is trying to restore the comforts of “THE SMALL TOWN FEELING”! They complement each other in such a successful way! I like to know that I can rely on someone else to make an event become a fantastic memory! No shame in getting help. This way, I can enjoy the party as much as the next person without stressing myself out! I know it will be out of this world! Now, if I could get my dear sweet friend, JASON HUGET, of THE STEAMBOAT WAREHOUSE, to cater, I would be in HOG’S HEAVEN!

The second event is one I hold near and dear to my heart. A few weeks back, HUBBY and I were asked to “babysit” our “16” year old GRAND PEEP. We all know that it is not really babysitting but more or less a place for her to crash. I told her that POPPA and I were going to eat boiled crawfish. She asked if her “beau” could come to join us. We said we would love to “DOUBLE DATE” with them. HUBBY and I had a most wonderful time and thought that was nice but probably something that was a fluke in falling into place. Then last week, GRAND PEEP, called and wanted to know what POPPA and I were doing for the weekend! They wanted to “DOUBLE DATE” again. SO WE DID! We had a lovely dinner at the STEAMBOAT WAREHOUSE! I don’t think these young people realized how much that meant to HUBBY AND ME! I cannot even put into words how special that was. It just goes to show that even the littlest gesture or thought can carry mounds of love! I don’t think it is something I will ever forget! To sum this up, “THE HAPPINESS OF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON THE QUALITY OF YOUR THOUGHTS AND DEEDS”—WELL, THIS IS ONE HAPPY GRAMMIE! Tomorrow is GRAND PEEP, SAVANNAH MORROW’S BIRTHDAY! Wishing her the most wonderful surprises that make her smile!
