TRIP SUMMARY!

Good Morning Foodies!

The number one rule that I have learned when travelling in groups or with individuals that you may have never travelled with: “ALWAYS BE AWARE OF EVERYONE’S LIKES AND DISLIKES!” Do not force anyone to do an activity that they are not interested in! We are all individuals and know and understand our capabilities and limitations! If you adhere to this RULE—EVERYTHING WILL WORK OUT!

I want to express my pride and joy in the parents of my LITTLE LOS ANGELES GRAND PEEPS! The YOUNG LADIES were absolutely amazing in their behavior and manners. Most important point—they behaved this way even when the ADULTS were not around. I cannot tell you how many people (from the airlines, hotels, restaurants, etc.) that commented on how well behaved and kind the GIRLS were. To the PARENTS—JOB WELL DONE! HUBBY and I are so proud to be around such a fabulous GRAND PEEPS!
I can’t remember when I laughed so much! I know at times the generation gap, well kicked in! It was really nice to have these younger generations take care of printing boarding passes, using their phones to call for rides, reservations, and just general information they needed to know. I was still looking for the YELLOW PAGES! (I am sure GRAND PEEPS don’t know what I am referring to.) I enjoyed being with them so much. I hope they will retain the memories of this trip like I will. I also believe that our PEEPS AND GRAND PEEPS learned a little from us. NEVER BE TOO OLD TO ENJOY YOUR LOVED ONES!
We must all try to remember, “NO MATTER HOW OLD YOU GET, NEVER STOP HOLDING HANDS, NEVER STOP SAYING GOOD-BYE WITH A KISS AND NEVER, NEVER STOP SAYING, “I LOVE YOU”!
I always know that whenever I travel away from HOME, I always remember this: “HOME IS WHERE WE GROW, WHERE WE LEARN THE TRADITIONS THAT SHAPE WHO WE ARE!”

Nice little ending to the trip: First day home, they sent me the most beautiful rose arrangement. They duplicated the flowers that I so much loved at our hotel and the restaurant, THE IVY! I like that they paid attention to something that so inspired me! I have learned to treasure these precious moments with my PEEPS and GRAND PEEPS! It does not have to be a fancy trip to LOS ANGELES. It can be something as simple as camping in your own back yard. It is not the place that counts, it is the person sitting next to you that takes top billing!
Have a safe and productive weekend!
