Good Morning Foodies! INSOMNIA has hit me big time! So, I will make hay while the sun don’t shine. BAM—ONE MONTH DOWN ALREADY AND YOU KNOW THIS IS THE SHORT MONTH COMING UPON US! You will see, I posted a pictures of the already- cut Butternut Squash. This is better than the introduction of SLICED BREAD. Any of you, that have tried to cut these squash, know what I am talkin…g about. I seriously had the butcher cut them for me. He finally told me I was dulling his blade. Seeing these little jewels, already for you to use, like the STEAMERS, of those other wonderful veggies, you zap in the microwave. Someone is a genius! I like to substitute this squash for carrots in soups, stews and gravies. It is so much sweeter and has that nice buttery taste. I got mine at Benny’s Big Star, of course, but I did see them at Hell-Mart, I mean Wal-Mart! So get out there and enjoy this wonderful weekend. Remember, “AS YOU AGE GRACEFULLY, ANY HOUR ABOVE GROUND IS HAPPY HOUR AND WHY SHOULD WE LIMIT HAPPY HOUR, TO JUST ONE HOUR!” Be careful out there and be safe!
